Reflection On Finished Shoe Sculpture

I have not done much work on my shoe since I wrote about it last but it has changed dramatically. By adding glue and gloss my shoe is now very shiny and has the appearance of a bronze shoe. I think my shoe turned out well but there were things I did not like about it. The overall shape of the shoe was realistic but it did not look exactly my shoe. The tongue and the vamp were tricky to create and I thought they gave the shoe a much taller look than it actually has. The toe of the shoe was not very accurate because I could not find any pieces of cardboard which curved like it. In the end I had to take paper and ake slits in it to curve it which made it look somewhat like the original.
The glue and gloss were both materials which went outside of the instructed  limitations, but they gave the shoe an extremely realistic look. Other than that I only used the instructed materials. I used pastels to create the color for my shoe. This was also outside the limitations but approved by Mr. Brooks because bronze colored paper is hard to get. This did not make my shoe look exactly like the original but it made it much more eye catching than before. The texture is very accurate which is due to the coat of gloss it has which makes it stiff and smooth. The main goal of this shoe was to create a work of art that was different from the others in the class. My shoe is original but that is mostly due to the shoe I picked to build. I am happy with my shoe and enjoyed this project.

Your shoe is amazing, it looks so similar to the actual shoe. It seems like you put a lot of time and effort into it. The colors you choice to use look really good. The shape of your shoe is also similar to the normal one and makes it look really good. I also really like the stand you choice to make. It looks really cool with the big hand and little one. The detail on the inside of the shoe right on the top makes a big part of the shoe i think. I like how you made details not only on the outside but the inside as well it makes a difference. I cant really think of things you could change to make your shoe more interesting, i think it is really interesting as it is.

i think that it is a really cool idea that you used your baby shoe. i also really like the stand it is on, it is really creative. the shoe you made looks exactly like the one you brought in to make the copy of. Although the color is painted it doesn't really matter. it still looks amazing! really good job!
